A fresh find from an old Railroad collectors estate! T his rare LARGE SIZE Brass or Bronze HEISLER geared locomotive builders plate's construction number is marked: 1401. Information noted from the estate was that this plate is from a circa 1919 Hiesler geared logging locomotive that was used in Willets Louisiana region for The Black River Lumber company. Probably logged a lot of that great "old growth Cypress" that is now long gone from that area and is only being logged by those crazy river diver loggers! The dimensions of the plate are as follows: 11+ 13/16" by 5+1/4" give or take. It is 1/4" thick and In original "collector" condition. Dark from age, some crust on the back of the plate etc.These builders plates are flat as they were bolted to the frame rail not the boiler. , this is a wonderful builders plate!100% Satisfaction Guarantee!!
