Solid Oak Monks Bench - believed 1920 - 1930 From my fathers house and been with him for some time. This is a lovely colour and in good original condition. Solid oak, hand carved with attractive detailing, this cleverly converts from a bench to a table. The table top is set into the chest in such a way that when the table is not in use the top pivots to a vertical position and becomes the back of a settle, this configuration allows easy access to the chest lid and forms the seat of the piece. Width is 3', depth is 18.5" and height is 2'6" - rising to 3'2" as a bench. Overall an impressive piece and generally in good order. Without damage although the seat pins could be renewed and there is an area of water discolouration on the table top. this is offered 99p start with NO RESERVE so will sell to the highest bidder! Viewing by arrangement is welcomed and I will be happy to answer any questions regarding this item. Collection only is offered from Reading, Berkshire upon receipt of cleared funds.
