Pat 1912 Set of 2 Large Towle Sterling Serving Spoons "Mary Chilton" These 2 spoons have been together for a long time. Mary Chilton pattern was first introduced in 1912. Classic. Comes to a pointed tip with a slightly downward turn. Solid rib down the backside. Simple and elegant style. Came from an extremely well-appointed family Estate Auction held in the Midwest and are part of a larger collection of sterling purchased. Condition is wonderful. Few minor surface marks which should polish beautifully. Certainly could use a soft polish which I have not done and am selling exactly as purchased at auction with the old patina. They are weighty and substantial to hold in the hand. Clean lines. Sleek. Crisp Towle mark. Approx. Measurements 8 1/4"L by 1 5/8"Bowl Weight 2.0oz (reg scale) Appropriate Towle Mark Nice Script Mono "C" T are no unwarranted marks that I can detect. Just a solid pair of estate silver and a great set of serving spoons by Towle. If you are looking for a perfect Wedding gift or looking to add to your existing set of Sterling, these two spoons would nicely augment your silver pattern.
