On offer here is a large hardwood box with Tunbridge style inlay. The box measures 11 ½ inches by 5 ½ inches by 2 ¾ inches high. It is covered with extensive inlaid hardwoods, mother of pearl and ox bone?. There is an area of inlay on the underside of the lid also. There is a patch of damage on the top measuring 5/8 inch by ¼ inch , a corner is missing a piece of inlay,on the side of the lid there is a piece of inlay missing 3/4 inch by 1/4 inch, some slight marks . There is no key, and the key hole is slightly damaged. This is a nice box in need of a little restoration but could easily be used as it is.
