Zuni Fetish Bead Necklace I present to you one of the nicest, largest Zuni or Navaho-style turquoise fetish bead necklaces you will find anyw ! This necklace is very similar to one I just sold on Ebay within the last 2 weeks, though the rough reconstituted turquoise from which this was carved has a more bluish hue than the one recently sold. Like the last one, this has 50 fetish beads which average nearly a full inch in length! I count at least 15 distinctly different animals (my wife says 17) among the 50 beads. This hand-strung necklace is made of reconstituted turqoise. Beads this size sell for $6-$7 each on Ebay individually. Now is your chance to own not just a fine collection of authentic fetish beads, but an entire necklace (measuring approx. 28 inches - over 71cm - in length)! The centerpiece of this beautiful necklace is a HUGE (reconstituted) turquoise bear pendant which measures a full 2 inches (5 cm) in length. The bear was considered the guardian animal of the West, one of the six cardinal directions recognized by the Zuni. Native American fetish beads were - and are - one of the most sought-after Native American collectables, and ones of this size are becoming increasingly difficult to come by.
