UNITED NATIONS Collection and STOCK !!!!
A wonderful Collector/Dealer Stock of UN Material, going to 2011 From a recently deceased lifelong collector who purchased new UN material--from the UN Postal Administration-- about 1979 to early 2011 !! All Three offices represented (NY, Geneva, Vienna) in mint packages each year with Souvenir Folders, Booklets, mini-sheets, postal stationary, first day cards, Flag sets/sheets, maximum cards, more!! (Many dupes--More Face !!) Also includes album with the earlies , including Mint NH #38 , 1-11 and many later, plus numerous early Year Set folders back to 1960's Much NOT shown in listing photos, but overall weight exceeds 30 POUNDS!! Counting all the face value is a real challenge, but, as example, 2001 (see photo) has the 3 Nobel Peace Prize sheets (Gitner retail $45), Endangered Species sheets (Gitner $30), Flag Sheets (Gitner $25), plus some other 2001 issues retailing $48, PLUS MORE NOT COUNTED. 2005 has the 50th Anniversary Booklets (set of 3--Gitner $45), 50th Anniversary Miniature Sheets (at least 3 sets at $45 EACH!!), plus another set in the Yearbooks, and more. Many more premium items throughout the years, such as 2002 Mountains (3 sheets -Gitner $70), Johannesburg 2002 (3 sheets -Gitner $65), 1996 Unicef Set of 3 sheets(Gitner $60),1991 Human Rights Set of 6 sheets(Gitner $64), 1992 Human Rights Set of 6 sheets(Gitner $69), 1993 Human Rights Set of 6 sheets (Gitner $74), and on and ON!!!!! Most all material still in UN Post Office glassines----Hundreds of Postal Stationary issues Mint and First Day, Plus Many, many Maximum cards, all offices, plus the beautiful year set albums/folders with stamps still in glassines (mounts, too!) Flag series appear complete with the single issues, sheets, etc. Gitner retail for sheets alone over $200 !! There may be multiple sets !!! A LOT here----needs to be re-organized by years. Don't believe there are any missing years after 1980 or so, and even a bunch of 2011 issues included!! Please don't scream if something is missing!!! Just noticed a large stack (over 2 " thick) of souvenir cards, Flag sheets, souvenir folders, more (1980-1990 or so)-- also all Mint or First Day !! Absolutely NO idea of total face---possibly over $2000 with all offices, but simply not interested in counting all of it. Dealer Retail (Gitner or other) would be HUGE!!! I am aware of the soft UN market (serious collector over 50 years), but this holding would be a GREAT addition to new collector or dealer, with so much mint material going back over 30 years. Enough Material here to set up at a bourse !! There are MANY, MANY premium items here --and many, many hours of work to organize!! Fair retail would probably be thousands of $$ !! Even figuring mint material at a fraction of face value would be much higher than start bid !! Shipping will be by the larger USPS Priority Mail Boxes--5 boxes, so there is a $60 postage cost to be added. I will only use better US postage on them (Full miniature sheets and older better!!---value in itself !!) My postage cost will probably exceed $75 Please Rest assured that I have described this heavy lot very reasonably---there are many glassines I never even opened---who knows what may be inside---the material is Clean as new and the original owner easily spent many thousands of dollars (as new from the UN P.O.) Many of the original invoices are still included from the UN P.O. ( I do ask for the eventual new owner of this material to destroy them at some point--I only include them now to show the many decade expense in $$) The yearly invoices for the 30 years seems to average between $80 and $250 so one can imagine the total price paid !! (Random checking) I am a lifelong specialist in US C1-2-3 (1918 airmails),recognized authority on those issues, Staff writer for the AIRPOST JOURNAL, APS (since 1967), etc. Also collect the Canadian 1897 Jubilee Issue and US/Canadian Coins-- always interested in TRADING- --excellent references available !!!
