Up for this no reserve listing is a unique large Victorian etched rose gold filled hair locket. This fantastic period item measures 2 1/4" in length, 1 11/16" in diameter, and about 5/16" thickness when closed. The inside opening is about 1 5/16" for a photo on one side, and t is a nice plastic covering on the other side for a deceased loved one's lock of hair. The outside is two sided with a cross in the center of one side, and a shield or coat of arms on the other. Both sides have a sunburst texture radiating to yet another pattern around the other perimeter. It is in EXCELLENT condition - I've never seen a hair locket of this size and design, much less in the well-preserved state of it!! One-of-a-kind!
