Beautiful Craftsmanship Vintage 1950s Handmade NAVAJO TURQUOISE & SILVER BOLO TIE A Splendid Piece & Offered at No Reserve This past weekend, I attended a large estate auction for a local artist, and among his many fine collectibles were some wonderful examples of vintage Native American jewelry, as well as Southwestern Indian pottery and art. I am happy to offer some of these treasures on ebay. This particular auction is for a vintage 1950s era Navajo Turquoise and Silver Bolo Tie, with Silver Tips. The workmanship on this handmade piece is exquisite. It is comprised of a large natural turquoise stone, set in a wonderful silver mount that includes a large feather, beading and a twisted wire applique. The bolo measures approximately 2 inches long by 1.5 across at the widest point. Like many older Navajo pieces, this one is not signed, however on the back of the clasp is Bennett Pat. Pend. The silver tips measure approximately 2.12 inches long, and they are attached to a braided leather strings. Condition: Lovely piece. T is some wear to the leather strings from age, and one of the silver bolo tips has minor dents. The bolo itself is in gorgeous condition! This is a lovely and unusual vintage Navajo bolo, and I do hope it is appreciated by someone who treasures fine Native American handiwork. Offered at No Reserve So Happy read more
