Offered is a superb fine line black on red pictorial large Hopi pottery bowl by Jeanette Sahu. Featured is a highly accomplished and artistic bird pictorial complete with eagle feathers and other abstract designs. This is the best work we have seen by Jeanette. She is from Walpi and during the 1960s and 1970s was known for her black on red pottery. The bowl is a large 10 3/8 inches across and stands 1.5 inches tall. The condition is near perfect with the exception of a tiny scratch and a pencil point size nick below the rim at about where 2 o'clock would be. The backside is signed Jeanette Sahu, Hopi.
