The New Haven Clock Company in New Haven, Connecticut produced an extensive line of shelf and wall clocks. Among their wall regulators, some were weight driven and others were spring powered. They offered an OFFICE #1 and an OFFICE #2. The difference between these models was that the number one had a center hung weight and no seconds dial and the #2 (this model) had a side-hanging weight and a seconds "bit" (dial),located under the numeral 12 on the dial. This large (41" tall), eight day clock runs perfectly and has had the old gut weight cord replaced with lifetime braided nylon. The weight cord runs upwards from the movement, through the top of the case--over a pulley and then across to another pulley before it passes down through the top to the weight pulley on the inside (left) of the case. The dial has been recovered professionally and the weight is old but not original to this clock. A real "find" and in an impressive larger size. The movement is clean and the wood case in excellent original condition.
