You are bidding on a fine Extra Large Victorian Walnut deep dish oval shadow box frame with gilt metal inner frame Dated 1869. The frame appears to be in all original condition, and finish. The backboard and glass are missing. The frame features dovetail construction on all four joints. The inside liner is gilt metal, and in very good condition,with one minor ding, and slight wear to the Gold finish....see pic. The Frame measures 29-5/8" tall x 25-3/4" x 2-1/4" deep (outside dimensions of frame) It measures 3-5/8" wide across the back. The frame opening measures 22-3/8" high x 18-1/2" wide. The back is stamped "Metal Inside Pat'd Jun 22 1869" This is a super nice extra large original post Civil War era frame in excellent - as found condition.
