This large and heavy WEDGWOOD BLACK BASALT VASE was most likely produced in the '50's or '60's and uses the Edme shape pattern but with no applied decoration. This creates a clean almost modern version in the classic Wedgwood line of ceramics. The Basalt clay shrinks in the firing process, more than the creamware clay, therefore this vase measures 10 1/2" tall and 6" across the top. In Mint Condition with no cracks or chips.
