' Red Giant ' Larissa Holt Original oil on stretched canvas. Internationally know artist who studied under and worked for Eyvind Earle. In 1988, Holt was hired by Eyvind Earle, a noted Disney artist, as an assistant serigrapher for his Monterey studio. While there she had the opportunity to learn all facets of fine art serigraphy from Mr. Earle. In 1989 Holt left Earle’s Studio to concentrate her energies on her own art. She is one of the foremost American artists with her own unique style. This magnificant painting contains many of her iconic forms: of mystical background mountains, highly shadowed red ground trees, and the large curved tree in the foreground. Note the blends of green in the landscape and trees complimented by the reds of the boughs and sun.
