THIS IS A ( 10 )TEN-DAY( 10 ), NO RESERVE , AND INTERNATIONAL COLLECTIBLE BRIAR PIPE AUCTION. You are bidding on an UNSMOKED condition "Bent Chubby Billiard/Dublin" shaped pipe in an "S3" graded, deep dark brown/black stained craggy sandblasted deep "ring grain" finish, with a smooth bird's eye drenched bowl rim, and a hand cut antique Bakelite stem, that was crafted by Larry Roush in December of 2005. This pipe is stamped as production number 1141. The shank is adorned with flat sterling silver "wedding ring" trim band. The general consensus among serious pipe collectors is that Larry Roush is among the very top pipe carvers that are currently crafting pipes in the United States. Everything about this pipe is about perfect. The weight, balance, hand feel, stem alignment, internal bowl and draft hole geometry, fit, finish, appearance, and overall absolutely pristine condition. Roush pipes perform as good as it gets! You will be in for a real treat, if you win this pipe! This pipe is beautiful! This classic Roush shape is simply fabulous. The sandblasted finish looks great and feels even better in the hand. There is a tremendous amount of hand work that goes into crafting the finest of plateau wood, solid sterling silver, and Bakelite into a “jewel” of a pipe. I say “jewel”, as in my opinion, Larry’s pipes are very jewel like in their appearance and “fit ‘n finish”. Here are the dimensions of this fabulous Roush pipe: The length is 5.25". The bowl height is 2.0". The bowl rim measures about 1.625" in diameter. The tobacco chamber is about 0.875" in diameter and tapers down the bowl's 1.375" inner depth - there is a lot of wood thickness at the bottom of the bowl. The capacity is about the same as a Group 5 size Dunhill pipe. It weighs 50 grams. The original black and tan leather pipe bag and hand signed certificate of completion are both included. I have carefully and thoroughly cleaned, sanitized, and rejuvenated this pipe both inside and out. This took no time at all, since this pipe was barely enjoyed. It is in a crisp, clean, pristine, and issue free condition that is ready to deliver immediate enjoyment right out of the box. Larry Roush’s pipes are in extremely high demand, and the supply is very short, as he carves less than one pipe per day. To find a Roush pipe on the estate market is a real opportunity, as the fortunate owners of these fantastic briars have a tendency to hold on to them.
