Original 8x10-inch black-and-white, glossy publicity photo / movie still was produced to promote a Lash Larue western film of the 1940s. We believe it is likely from the 1948 Screen Guild western film, DEAD MAN'S GOLD, which starred Lash La Rue, Al St. John, Peggy Stewart, John L. Cason, Terry Frost, Lane Bradford, Pierce Lyden, Marshall Reed, Stephen Keyes, Britt Wood, Cliff Taylor and Bob Woodward. The film was directed by Ray Taylor. This is an original studio-issued still -- NOT a copy or reproduction. The photo features a great shot of Lash getting the drop on another cowboy who is holding a gun. Overall condition: Solid VG+..... The still has an extremely light 5-inch crease near the upper left corner, the hint of a slight bend near the lower left corner, and some mild wear along the top edge. However, these creases are mainly noticeable when light hits the photo surface just right, and otherwise, the photo is clean and bright.
