This auction includes the Last Legend Mikusa Katana shown in the photos. Details :I bought this to try cutting with a blade that had a deeper sori than what I was used to cutting with. It the balance and feel is interesting. Now that I have a feel for it, I understand what I want out of a commissioned blade. I would like to hang onto the blade but I just have way to many katana right now. I don't seem to stop buying them so I need to part with what I have. I am sure this will make someone very happy. Last Legend stopped producing blades a few years ago. Their blades had quite a following and have become rather hard to find. The Mikusa was not the most popular blade and that makes it a little more scarce. This is a great chance to own a somewhat unique blade. Mikusa Nohara katana grade 2 – MSRP $389.00 (when you could buy it) 1090 steel differentially clay tempered 28” Blade Double Ring Tsuba 11” Tsuka (From the LL web site) The Mikusa katana family of blades are similar to the Yashima family. This is a Keicho Shinto style blade with an aggressive sori. Here is a quick fighter with a light feel. This blade is torizori with full niku, a striking masame hada in the folded blade, a dramatic taper from machi to yokote, and a longer chu kissaki.
