This book which has been produced in the format of a signal box survey intents to primarily record the interesting collection of boxes on the Merseyrail network which were replaced, at a stroke, by commissioning of the IECC instalation at Sandhills in 1994. However, in view of the interesting history of mechanical signalling on the network, the book also considers the highpoints of some of the key locations on the network. Part of a series of books, with this edition concentrating on boxes on the Wirral Line from Birkenhead then as far as South Wirral - West Kirby, Meols etc. Please see photo two for the contents page. 64 pages thick, fully illustrated with black and white photos both inside and outside of the boxes. There are also a few in colour, and there are also quite a lot of track layouts etc. Good condition.
