The Last Pool By Patrick O`Brian Secker And Warburg ; 1950 UK First Edition / First Printing *Authors Scarce First Novel* ****Very Hard To Find In The Original Dustjacket And This Condition**** Up for auction this one of a number of highly collectable First Edition i will be offering this week. This is the true First Edition / First Printing of Patrick O`Brians First book `The Last Pool` in stunning condition. Bound in its original bright yellow cloth covers with title to the spine the book is virtually in fine condition. There were to variants for this the first edition either yellow or gree with no taking presidence. The book sits nice and square with no apparent signs of age or wear. Internally unmarked throughout and tightly bound free from inscriptions or foxing. A true collectors example. The Rare Dustjacket is original to the book and has not been clipped showing 9s 6d net. The corners and spine tips are a touch bumped and there are two small chips out one to the front and one to the back. Botom right corner has a chipped piece else on the whole a bright,vibrant and clean example of this scarce first issue jacket. Overall this is a scarce collectable title for any collection in very nice condition.
