THIS IS REPLICA SWORD USED IN THE LAST SAMURAI MOVIE WITH TOM CRUISE. THE SWORD IS MADE DOWN TO THE LAST DETAIL INCLUDING ENGRAVED LETTERS ON THE BLADE. Specifications: Overall length: katana 42" Blade length: katana - 28 1/2" including habaki Blade material: HIGH CARBON 1050 STEEL Total weight of the sword is 2.7lbs Weight of the blade is 1.7lbs Live Razor sharp blade "Blood Grooves (HI)" on both side of the blades Solid Metal Tsuba, Metal Habaki, Fuchi, and both Seppas T are 2 Mekugis (pegs) T are two (2) Menuki (ornaments) on each side of the the handle Woodend Tsuka with Same tightly wrapped around leattte Ito. The scabbard (saya) is made out of high quality black wood with last samurai emblem painted on it. This sword comes with FREE cleaning kit, protective cover and the stand as seen in pictures. You can remove the pin that holds the tang on the grip by pushing the metal fitting aside. Fittings may need to be re-adjusted since it was all done manually. T may be minor movements on the tsuba but within normal ranges. This is a great starter sword for practicing Tamashigiri and Iaido before you move up to a higher quality blades.
