This is an ORIGINAL OIL painting on Canvas Board---so it hasa distinct oil painting look, as on canvas. The artist is Lillian Stasek. I purchased the painting in Southern California, so I believe the artist was a resident of Southern California. I tried to find a bio or any information on the artist but was unable to come up with anything. JUST IN TIME FOR THE LENT-EASTER SEASON - A BEAUTIFUL PAINTING BY AN AMERICAN ARTIST. This would be a GREAT PIECE OF ART to buy, and then DONATE to a church or other religious organization that you think would value it in an office or in the common areas such as the entrance or some hallways. This is a well done rendition of Leonardo Da Vinci's famous LAST SUPPER, probablypainted in the 60's or 70's. We can tell the time frame because of the framing that wasused and the style of the framing. More about that later. The artist took considerable pains to FAITHFULLY reproduce her version of The Last Supper--and thus demonstrates a great deal of talent as an artist. The colors are vibrant and the paintingis very alive. It is beautifully and appropriately framed in a gilded gold wood frame with a red velvet liner (see pictures).
