Up for bidding is an antique Bible. It is a Parallel Family Bible. In doing some research, I believe it to date between the 1890's and early 1900's. The book is in good condition. The cover is starting to seperate at the binding, but not past the cover and the seperation is not through to the inside binding. The pages are in good shape with the exception in the Book of Macabees;Chapter II pages 77 through 80. They are torn horizontally but are in tact at binding. The Illustations are beautiful. The sections for matrimony, temperance pledge and family records have not been filled with any information. On the back binding under the word illustrated is the number 660, as I can see it. This Bible is beautiful with an ornate cover. The back cover is black but has the same pictures as the front minus the gold coloring. Inside the Bible I found a Sunday School newsletter from a church in Philadelphia, PA. The newsletter is dated 1926. There was also a small cross inside made of what appears to be maybe reeds or palms leaves. There was also an article about the happenings in Unionville. I just found these things interesting. I hope I have given enough information. There are too many nice features to mention. Feel free to ask me what you need to know to value this Bible. . This is sold as is and the information provided is to the best of my knowledge. The shipping rate is for inside the United States. Shipping fee includes delivery via usps media mail as well as insurance.
