These four (4) antique Meissen figurines belonged to a serious collector of Meissen. Collector resided in the southern California area, and alas, her collection became a victim of the 1994 Northridge earthquake. Such a loss, such a shame, but I understand that t are Collectors out t who are willing to restore these unique pieces due to their value and scarcity. So, I am offering this 4 piece lot "AS IS" in a "no reserve" auction, and they will present a rewarding challenge for whoever decides to "take on" the flaws and missing parts to these antique pieces. Auction includes: one colonial boy who is designed with a fishing motif including holding a fish in his hands and the basket (which has broken off) that holds his "catch of the day". This piece suffers chips on the hat, broken small wings, basket broken off, nicks and flakes etc.; a boy with a basket of flowers on his back with a missing arm, chipped flowers in his hand and a couple of small flakes; one small boy with a lantern box on his back and another box he is carrying on his front side, flake off the front box, two areas on the back (each side of the box) which may have been small wings, chip at the bottom, small nicks and t; and a small girl with a yellow and blue head scarf/cover holding a box which has been broken with an area missing, and something was in her hand which has broken off, as well as two areas on her back which may have been wings, a flake off the base. None of these pieces have ever been repaired, meaning that the boo-boos that they suffered during the earthquake are the only known damage and were in excellent condition previously to that. I may have missed a few flaws like a small flake, etc. but I managed to cover all the serious flaws. The average height of these pieces is around 4.25" tall. Money order or personal check accepted. International bidders are considered, but please email me first! Thank you. Buyer to pay shipping/handling and insurance. California resident will need to pay sales tax. I'LL BE OUT OF TOWN DURING THE FIRST 4 DAYS OF THIS AUCTION, SO IF YOU HAVE QUESTIONS, PLEASE BE PATIENT AND I'LL ANSWER THEM AS SOON AS I RETURN BEFORE THE AUCTION ENDS.
International bidders will need to pay a $10.00 handling fee. I don't normally ship internationally but will make an exception for these rare Meissen pieces. Payment can only be accepted via PayPal, and the figurines will be shipped Priority International Mail with insurance.
