This is a one of a kind MILK GLASS OIL LAMP that has been in my husbands family since the late 1800's , literally came over in a covered wagon. The story that has been passed down through the years is that when the families covered wagon fell over the lamp was one of the few items that managed to survive. As you can see in the pictures, t is a label that his great great grandmother put on the bottom with the date of the lamp. The lamp is a light green color With glass it stands 1 foot 8 1/2" Base alone stands 1 foot tall by 6" wide Glass alone stands 8 1/2" tall The lamp is made out of MILK GLASS (Very rare and very valuable), not sure what you would call the typ of designs that are on the base In SUPERB CONDITION... NO CHIPS, CRACKS, JUST SOME DUST FROM BEING STORED OVER THE YEARS This Oil Lamp would make a wonderful addition to any collectors collection, it is one of a kind, you cannot find this lamp on any other auction on EBay. Please feel free to contact me with any questions **NOTE** I have revised the description of the information on the lamp that I have received from people who know about these types of lamps... I have been told it looks like a Princess Feather Lamp, but all the ones I find on-line are of see-thru glass.... so i don't know HAPPY BIDDING!
