This is a pair of Smith Brothers Vases. They were manufactured in late 1800s right in New Bedford Massachusetts at the Smith Brothers Shop. Smith Brothers glass was made after 1878. Alfred and Harry Smith had worked for Mt. Washington Glass Company in New Bedford for seven years before going into their own shop. They made many pieces with enamel decorations. These two beautiful art glass vases are 4 1/2" tall with 2" diameter mouth rimmed in gold . They depict enamel cranes and have soft pink ground with enamel reeds and leaves. Have Smith Brothers makers marks on bottom. Both are in excellent condiiton. See photos. As with all my auctions t is low starting bid with no reserve. Shipping and insurance is a flat $6.00.
