PHILLIP HASS BLACK FORESTWALL CLOCK Ca. Late 1800âe(tm)s German one-day wall clock, Black Forest wood plates, brass gear movement (notice the decorative running rabbit like carved brass escape wheel bridge, a Hass trademark). The movement components closely resemble and are similarly made to the familiar early Black Forest Cuckoo clocks. It uses two heavy weights, has a brass pendulum, cuckoo type spiral coil gong, familiar ratchet wheel chain pull ups, side doors that open to view the insides. That is w the similarity stops. The face is an intricately relief carved design of scrolls and shields in near perfect condition. The 3-12 inches porcelain dial is nicely decorated, is perfect with no hairlines and the hands are good originals. The clock face measures approx. 14âe tall and the total weight is 14 pounds.
