This gorgeous vintage game table comes to you from the estate of Romelda Cree, deceased, of Hendersonville, NC. The Cree's were prominent local citizens. We previously sold many items from this fine estate; however, this fabulous table was not released for sale by the heirs until recently. Lucky you! This is a most impressive game table. The appraiser of the table said it was late 18th C., but it could be early 19th C. It has exotic inlay through out as you can see in the photographs. The tope opens to reveal a felt top (not original felt) and then swivels 90-degrees to lock the game board in place. When closed this table fits nicely against a wall, making it a most attractive accent piece for a discriminating decorator. It measures 30-1/4" high. The surface measures 33-1/2" x 36-1/4" when open and 18-1/4" x 33-1/2" when closed. T are a few minor condition problems as noted by the photographs. The table is fragile overall and not extremely sturdy. The top inlay surface has a few water stains, and t is some separation on the side veneer. The felt has some staining and a center separation. But all this is not very noticeable due to the ornate beauty of the table, and some condition problems are expected due to its age. Bid your best on this great game table NOW!
