A very fine small wakazashi/tanto size tsuba. Patina is excellent and in very good condition. Basic material is shakudo with gold and copper of various color zogan. Theme is samurai on horse with attendant on the omote and Hojo troops on the ura. Most likely a Nambokucho period story. If you have time to read the Taiheiki story, you can probably identify the samurai. I leave the quality and intricate workmanship to speak for themselves from the pictures I posted. Once in a while you see tsuba like this on e-Bay and 's your chance with the fast finger. Comes with a box 6.3 cm x 5.7 cm x 0.3 cm
