1920 Latvia -extremely rare full sheet of 108 ( 9 x12 ) 1 Rub stamps

cackled 6-4-1920 at Riga' Latwija.

The rare factor is that they are perforated, border #ed full sheet ( # 6913 ), and they are printed on obsolete German bank notes...ten Zhen Mark.

In speaking with a gentleman, Bill Aspit - a specialist in the era and more particularly Latvia, I am told that amount of full sheets that actually survived in this condition is very limited.

The colors are beautiful and the condition of these almost 100 year stamps are near perfect , this is the real thing ! If I collected these types,

I'd think I'd have to have them !!

It would appear that when Russia took back Latvia from the Germans, paper was scarce and these uncut notes where used along with obsolete German war maps.

I have 2 of those ( War maps ) which I will offer at request of a serious collector. I had them rough valued in Hartford, Ct at a show at $2300-2500 each !

If this is something you like but find it too pricy, I will be glad to make a color copy for you ( less perforations ) for $30.
