Up for your consideration is a magnificent lithographcollection masterfully executed by one of Lautrec rarest and original chromists-- Jean Pierre Remond of Paris. It is a lithograph of the Troupe de Mlle Eglantine. The press that J. P. Reymond used is one of only a few remaining old-style lithographic presses still in use in the world. It is wonderfully matted and framed by a professional framer. It is protected by a non-glare plastic sheet. It has the trademark initials of Lautrec, a signature of Lautrec (I don’t believe it’s an original signature), and with the writing “102 J.P.Remond Lith.” right below the signature. It measures about 6 ¼ x 4 ¾ inches. The frame itself measures about 12 ½ x 14 inches. Any questions, please email. About the Lithographer: Jean-Pierre Remond is an artist known for his lithography, and yet as some have discovered, finding details and examples of his art is difficult as most are in private collections He has been called one of the best and accomplished "chromists" in the world. Chromists refer to the printing of color in lithograph. This new information will help those who are searching for more information about Jean-Pierre Remond and hopefully those with additional information will add to this article.
