Lavender Jade Tumblestone This is a lovely purple variety of Jade. In China Jade was considered the 'imperial gem' and from about the earliest Chinese dynasties until present, the Jade deposits in most use were from the region of Khoton in the Western Chinese province of Xinjiang. Prehistoric people in Europe and Asia used Jade to make axes, scrapers and weapons because it was found suitable for tough work. Jade is a very popular gemstone for transforming into objects d'art.
