We are offering, from an Auction in Tryon, North Carolina This Le Coultre et Cie, Swiss, 8 Day Obelisk or Pyramid Shelf, Mantle or Desk Clock I believe from the 1970s. As you know already it is not working but the fix may be quite simple for all you clock repairers out t or those who would have it repaired professionally. The winding mechanism just keeps turning, so to my way of thinking it is probably the spring that is broken, but not being a clock expert I don't have the tiny screwdrivers at hand to open it up and look. The outside is very clean, the Egyptian figures on the four sides are nicely gold plated and the plate is still very good, little or no wear to be seen. The square gold trim at the base of the Lucite or Acrylic Obelisk and below the four Egyptian Cartouches has a grain to it that seems to hold a bit of dirt or dust and could do with cleaning perhaps. The clear acrylic or lucite dome/obelisk is in very good shape, from a certain angle though you can see a spot on the side above the 6 w someone previously rubbed it too hard with a cloth or something and it shows dull, but again, it is only from a certain angle. A great opportunity for any budding clock repairer to get to work on one of Switzerlands premier clock maker's clocks, a $300 to $400 clock when up and running properly.
