Ballades et Chansons Traditionelles Francaises," by Le Galant Noye, released on Chant du Monde in France in 1974. Superb and rare French folk album by this collective featuring Emmanuelle Parrenin, Dominique Regef, Jean-Loup Baly, and Jean-Francois Dutertre. Not your average traditional folk album by any means - the music is innovative and haunting. In a sense the album defines the forest folk sound prevalent now - the music is remarkably prescient, and bears resemblance to the current free folk/wyrd folk movement. A great and obscure record. Both vinyl and cover in excellent condition. Please note my scanner cannot capture the entire width and breadth of the cover.
