EARLY VATICAN & PAPAL COINAGE REFERENCE Muntoni, Francesco: Le Monete Die Papi e Degli Stati Pontifici. Roma: P&P Santamaria, 1972. Volume 1: Le Monete de Papi / A ~ da Adriano I alla Sede Vacante 1559 / 772 ~ 1559. Thick Demy Quarto, 8-1/2" x 11"; xxxi + 207 + 34 + 6 tables + 45 plates. Folks, this is a curiousity: What we have here is a complete volume of reference that has been xeroxed from the original. It's been repro'd from the library of the American Numismatic Association. Apparently this is as far as someone got ~ the book now needs boards cut to size, a spine backing strip, a pair of endpapers, and a sheet of bookcloth, all to be assembled as a "case" for the book. What's required here is of the utmost simplicity to a bookbinder; read more
