About Le Protecteur: Entitled ‘Mediterranean Rendezvous’, this is a 64 gun French ship which carried 520 to 750 crew member and a displacement of 1,200 to 1,600 tons. She was built in 1731. her measurements were 184ft x 36ft x 19ft. The 'Le Protecteur' had 64 guns and 678 crew members aboard. Under the command of Admiral De Grasse she fought in the battle of Dominica.
