Leather Black Powder Possibles Bag/Hunting Pouch with Seven (7) Accouterments All Hand Made, One of a Kind Maker: Leo Wright Top quality stone oiled tanned leather Hunting Pouch/Bag. I am offering this Bag with A Powder Horn, Deer Antler Handle Carbon Steel Blade Patch Knife, Cow's Knee Lock Cover, Powder Measure Solid Brass, Deer Antler Tip Wild Turkey Beard Pan Brush, Vent/Nipple Pick Carbon Steel, and Pig Skin Leather Capper, also spare wax thread. This is an old Virginia Appalachian style Mountain Bag. Hunting Pouches of this type were used through out the Mountainous Regions of West Virginia, South Eastern Kentucky, Western Virginia, East Tennessee and Western North Carolina. Hunting Pouch Description: The flap is an elongated irregular cut with a top stitch vine design. In the center is a tulip inlay. The tulip inlay was one of the most popular designs of the period. The tulip is deer hide, dyed ox blood color. Flap is lined with pig skin. The bag is a rounded kidney shape with a gusset around. It has two inner pockets stitched to the back panel of the bag. The bag is constructed of 4-5 oz stoned oiled cowhide. This leather has a deep richness, it has been treated with oils and waxes. It is dip dyed and repels water very well.
