Vintage wall decor that's simply stunning! Victorian Figural Wall Plaques from Lefton China Fine bisque porcelain ca. 1950s-1960s Welcome to Simpler Times Antiques! Here for your consideration today we're offering this pair of Victorian styled figural wall plaques from Lefton China. These are crafted of fine bisque porcelain. They're designed to be displayed as a pair, one depicting a Colonial Era youth with a dove in his hand, the other his young lady friend with her basket of flowers. Colors are soft greens and pink set against a creamy taupe background. Each plaque measures about 8" x 6" and is about 1.25" thick. They are executed in very high relief and their appearance is simply superb. Both pieces are numbered KW 115, have the Lefton ink stamp, and Lefton foil label. We're told by a couple of collectors that these pieces probably date from the late 1950s or early 1960s. A close look reveals only very minor damage to only one of the two pieces. The plaque depicting the young lady has a small piece broken off the back at the hanging point. You'll see it in close up in our photos. This issue is hidden when the plaque is hung and does not interfere with mounting this item to the wall. Otherwise we found no chips, cracks, or evidence of repair.
