Lefton China ~Violet Chintz~ Offered here is a huge lot of items for tea : -Teapot & lid-Coffee pot & lid-cream & sugar set-6" Tidbit handled server-7" pedestal server-8" vase Condition is mint, no chips, cracks, nicks or repairs, with minimal gold loss. Maker's Mark on bottom of each piece. NOTE: The pedestal server has a slight wobble at base of pedestal; no damage, but suspect factory flaw. George Zoltan Lefton was a Hungarian immigrant who arrived in Chicago in 1939. Although his background was in marketing and designing specialty clothing, he had a passion for collecting fine porcelain. By 1941 Lefton was focused solely on porcelain and had opened Lefton China. The company became well known for manufacturing a variety of delicate china items such as teapots, creamers, sugar containers, teacups, ashtrays, figurines, vases and much more.
