LEFTON Irish Clover Musical Teapot The Lefton Company: George Zoltan Lefton, George was a Hungarian immigrant who arrived in Chicago in 1939. Although his background was in marketing and designing specialty clothing, he had a passion for collecting fine porcelain. The Lefton Company was founded in 1941. Lefton traveled to Japan in 1945 to seal an importing agreement and the first Lefton China product marked "Made in Occupied Japan" reached the United States in 1946. Lefton products are becoming highly collectible.Up for bid is this absolutely BEAUTIFUL Gold trimmed musical white teapot by Lefton ®. Hand Painted in the Irish Clover theme. This music plays an Irish Lullaby also features a push play "song on button" located beside the winding knob. This is an ELEGANT piece that is sure to spark a conversation. It has the ORIGNIAL STICKER marked Lefton Exclusives . It stands appoximately 7" tall, and from the tip of the spout to handle it measures approx. 9" wide. A total BEAUTY in EXCELLENT condition; no chips or cracks. I would rate it a 9.5 out of 10(10 being best), I don't have the original box.
