Please scroll down under this description for additional views. Stool with three cast iron legs and upholstered seat, 16" high, 13 1/2" diameter seat. Although the cast iron legs may be from an old mold, I think this is a modern made piece- the hardware at the top of each leg is certainly modern. The stool came from a local estate, the cast iron has some antique metallic gold that looks like it was sponged on giving it a worn appearance. The fabric on the seat is a bit worn and has some small stains but this is a super easy upholstery job with a staple gun and a small amount of fabric- you can really splurge on something expensive when the job is this small or maybe you have a piece of needlepoint that would be perfect. There's a thick piece of cushy foam under the fabric and the base of the seat is plywood. Yes it can be used as a piano stool but I would use it for a vanity table seat. It could be very pretty in the corner of a bathroom or near your closet or dressing room. It weighs about 15 pounds- those iron legs are heavily cast with pierced details, done in a Rococo Revival style.About Our AuctionsPlease email with any questions about the item or payment method- we will try to be as prompt as possible with a reply.
