THIS HARD-TO-FIND LEGO SET IS IN ITS ORIGINAL, SEALED BOX. THE BOX IS IN PERFECT CONDITION! WE HAVE A SMOKE-FREE HOME. My boys would love to keep this set as part of their Lego collection, but we really need the extra money. A very detailed description: 8709 Underground Mining Station was released in June 2009 [] as part of the LEGO Power Miners line (being set number 11 in the series). Minifigures included are Rex , two Dukes (Version 1, Version 2), and one Geolix Minifigures . This set is a limited edition and a Toys-R-Us exclusive. On the left tower, there is a control centre and 4 flick-fire dynamite missles. On the right tower, there is an enormous light green wheel that pulls the bucket when you turn it, as well as another small control centre. The Underground Mining Station is made up primarily of two structures - namely, the control tower with the dynamite rack, and the lookout tower that receives crystals. Both are connected by a cable, which is supported underneath by a long fuel line. All are constructed atop plates of varying size; these plates feature neon-green bricks stylized to resemble crystal formations.
