The image below shows the entire freight yard (NOTE: you do not get the entire freight yard with a purchase from this listing): Bellow is information about my trains that you might find interesting, but it's not necessary to read, so you can just skip down to the Shipping & Handling information if you want to... My trains are built with new and used parts. This means that parts are direct from the LEGO factory, or a person, or a cat, or a dog, but not a fish, unless the fish is outside of its aquarium, but since that only happens under duress and for very short periods of time, let's just go ahead and not include fish. I try to avoid using badly worn parts. In some cases, for parts that are not damaged but not shiny enough for use where they may be seen by chickens, I may use these parts for interior assemblies that support the train structure, but would only be visible in an alternate universe where everything is inside-out. These are original designs. All my trains are of my very own creation with the exception of the refrigerator car, which is a tweak of someone else's design. I make my trains as realistic as possible. In order to create the most realistic looking trains I can, my latest designs are built without the standard 6x24 or 6x28 LEGO train bases. The LEGO train bases limited what I could do and don't come in an adequate variety of colors, and the colors they do come in often require financing to purchase. Anyway, because I needed to eliminate the standard LEGO train bases from my new designs, I had to make an executive decision regarding how to attach the wheels. (Because I'm the only employee, I'm the executive, but that's a two edged sword, cause that also makes me the custodian, and I have to clean up all the late night LEGO messes I make on the living room floor.) In the end, after a long one minute debate in my head, I made the executive decision to eliminate the LEGO "boggie plate." Had I tried to continue using it, I would have had to use technic plates along with other small plates to finally create bases with the holes necessary for the boggie plates to be used, and that would have made the design more complicated, more expensive, and require a greater inventory of parts on hand. The easy solution would be to use a turntable as shown in the following image: NOTE: New Buffer Beam w/Sealed Magnets Now Used. This method of attaching the wheels is demonstrated in the second issue of Railbricks magazine, so I know that others have done it, and it has worked successfully. This is completely compatible with wheels that use boggie plates, and there is no differential in the heights of the connecting magnets. I have also sold some trains with this wheel design already, and have had no complaints. By the way, if this is an auction page for one of my trains that DOES use the stnadard LEGO train base plate, then I DO use the boggie plate, and you can ignore this section of my novel--oops, sorry, if you've read this far...too late. Anyway, I take great care in trying to create the most realistic trains you will find on the Internet, at least in the LEGO world that is, cause obviously if I were talking about the mundane world, then you could just find a picture of a real train and say, "Your trains aren't that realistic, Mark, here's an even more realistic train." Too much information! That's what you're probably saying about now, but in the next paragraph, I continue to ramble... Though my trains are not the cheapest , they're also not the cheapest--in quality that is. I am proud of the quality and effort I put into these models. The cost is not just in the train, but I have to consider the time it takes to come up with each design, acquire the needed inventory of parts, sort the parts when they arrive, build multiple copies of the original, purchase media to create the stickers, create the stick... read more
