This signed print was framed and matted by Vanguard Studios, a leading design group known for their excellence. The Vanguard sticker is numbered: # 830024-3. Leila Platt's watercolor is a still life of a spring bouquet in a tall pink cylindrical vase. This framed print is from a local doctor's estate and is in EXCELLENT condition. Picture still has original price tag on back of $50.00. It is approx. 18 years old, as it was purchased in 1988. Truly a gorgeous work of art. The entire wood frame measures 15 1/2" wide x 12 1/2" tall. The frame is 1" thick on sides and 1 1/4" wide on the front, and is beveled (please see photos). I took photos near a window - so please excuse any reflections.
The watercolor print measures 8 1/2" wide x 7 1/4" tall. It is outlined by a 1/8" border of gold metal which is beveled. It is double matted with two beveled matts, the inner matt is a sage green, and the outer mat is pink with 2 narrow gold border stripes near the inner edge. The green mat measures 9 3/4" wide, and the pink matt is 13 1/2" wide. Total measurement inside the frame is 13 1/2" wide by 9 1/2" tall. The back of the picture is completely covered with the original brown paper from Vanguard. You can feel the secure fasteners under the paper. It has a very sturdy locking metal and wire hanger. The frame is wood, but has been totally gilded in gold with an antiqued finish. Just lovely.
In EXCELLENT condition with no flaws in watercolor print, mats, frame, or glass. Glass is original and has no chips or cracks. Clean, and ready to display. From our smoke free home. I took some close-up photos of the frame so you could see the ornate detailing, gilding, and the mitered corners. This heavy framed piece with glass weighs over 2 3/4 lbs. unboxed, and will go through our usual careful packaging to ensure the glass gets to you in one piece. We have already included delivery confirmation and the required insurance in the shipping total on the calculator.
