It is a 12 page affidavit filed by Paul McCartney in December of 1970 and is Paul's legal request to dissolve the Beatles and Apple Corps. It essentially gives many of the answers to age-old question "why did the Beatles break up?" It also happens to be a copy of JOHN LENNON'S OWN PERSONAL COPY with his comments handwritten in the margins of 9 of the 12 pages (many of which respond to Paul's allegations). In it Paul begins his application of dissolution by explaining why he has "been driven to make this application" with 4 reasons including "my artistic freedom is liable to be interfered with so long as the partnership continues." The following 11 pages then go on to describe in detail, ALL IN PAUL'S OWN WORDS, specific events leading to the downfall of the Beatles. The affidavit ends with Paul saying "I feel that all mutual confidence and interest has been lost and that the group could not possibly be re-formed." Truly a must-have for any Beatles fan. Please note the scanned pictures do not do justice to this copy. It is quite clear and legible; you won't be disapointed. As mentioned read more
