Lenox Belleek Silver Overlay Tea/Luncheon/Dessert Set I have for your consideration a wonderful Lenox Belleek 15-piece tea/luncheon/dessert set bearing the Lenox palette mark (circa 1906). The handled compote dish is hallmarked on the silver R.S. Co. Sterling. The tea pot is also hallmarked on the sterling portion on the inside bottom of the handle, but I cannot make it out nor even get a picture because of the awkwardness of the location. The set consists of: one tea pot measuring 6" tall x 8.75" from spout to handle; one large round fruit/center bowl 3.25" high x 10.25" in diameter and 32" in circumference at its widest; one oblong footed/handled compote 4" tall x 10.25" long; and twelve luncheon plates 7.25" in diameter. The porcelain is a creamy white vanilla with heavy silver overlay trim on all edges, bases, and rims. Each piece also has Lenox's distinctive heavy raised silver overlay wreath and ribbon decor. Double bands of silver overlay outline the body whether it be each section of the tea pot, the out edge of the plates, or just below the heavy silver rims on the fruit bowl and compote. The tea pot lid, finial, and spout area, as well as the top of the handles on the compote bowl, are embellished with extra flourishes of silver overlay.
