Bird Lovers, check this out !!! You are looking at a " Cardinal ", an important issue in the "Lenox Garden Bird Sculpture Collection" , is an original work of art, individually crafted of hand-painted porcelain and inscribed with the prestigious Lenox hallmark in 24 karat gold. The "Cardinal" is approximately 3 3/4" tall, 4 1/2" x 3 1/2" and includes the Certificate of Authenticity with a history of the bird. Did you know that the Cardinal has at least 28 different songs and calls, the most common being "What cheer!" and that both male and female sing, sometimes together? That the cardinal lives mostly in the eastern United States, westward to the prairies and in the Southwest? That it is the state bird of Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, North Carolina, Ohio, Virginia and West Virginia? I am in the process of clearing out my brother's collectibles and he had over 50 of these Lenox birds which I will continue to put up for auction, so please check them out. All were displayed, however no original box. All have their COA with bird description. They have been wrapped up and in storage for about 4 years. They're a little dusty and probably need a "bird bath" but I'll leave that up to the buyer.... it'll be great "bonding" time :) This bird has no chips, cracks or damage. I accept PayPal, Postal Money Orders or Certified Checks. Payment is due within 7 days of auction end date. I will ship PARCEL POST or PRIORITY MAIL within 2 business days of receiving payment. Insurance is optional but is advised on these fragile items. They will be securely packed but I am not responsible for lost or damaged packages shipped without insurance. As "Birds of a feather, flock together", if multi-items are purchased, I will revise shipping based on weight and box size needed. Since I am trying to clear out storage, all sales are final so please keep that in mind when you are bidding. While I prefer the ease of shipping to mainland U.S. auction winners, I will work with E BAYers from Canada, the United Kingdom and Australia.
