This auction features a Lenox Ivory Bone China Chip 'N Dip or Shrimp Server with Heavy 24K Gold Trim.
My friend Phil is an avid auction goer and purchased this at estate sale with some pieces of Hayworth. This piece appears unused with excellent gold trim . What a perfect piece of Lenox for your special occasions! The server measures 12 1/2" x 10" x 2 1/2". It has an attached bowl for cocktail sauce or for dips. The bowl measures 4 3/4". The back is marked with the Lenox gold Made in U.S.A. backstamp used from 1953 to 1989. I am also including six (6) 24K gold trim individual servers which appear basically unused. These are from the 1940's and the gold application is not perfect. These were made in the days when the gold was actually applied by a real person by hand. I mention this because the servers made later have gold trim that was applied with a different process. My picture shows two (2) but six (6) are included with this auction. I have several servers that I have used with my Weatherly China since the late 1960's and have found them to be one of my most useful Lenox items. They are very handy during the Holidays. The oval or lemon-shaped dishes measure 4 1/2" x 2 3/4" x 3/4" deep. They have the Lenox Made in USA green backstamp used from 1930 until 1953. These little dishes are useful as Individual servers for sauces, shrimp tails, nuts, lemon wedges, open salts, tea bags, ashtrays, etc. The buyer will pay $13.75 USPS priority mail which includes required insurance I will provide the delivery confirmation. The seller accepts money orders, cashiers checks, or personal checks. Combined shipping is offered to save postage.
