This elegant Hallowe'en figurine, The Moonlight Enchantress, was made by LENOX© and the original design was created by the well known artist, Lynn Bywaters. Her signature is inscribed on the front of the piece and t is a backstamp as well with another signature, and the LENOX© hallmark. The underside is felted to protect your furniture, so it is on a foil lable. A beautiful and elegant witch, in flight on her broom, holds her familiar, a black cat, in her arms and is accompanied by several bats. The clouds are beneath her, and she appears to be flying directly in front of a crescent moon. This figurine is the first ever Hallowe'en witch created by Ms. Bywaters. According to the paperwork included with it, Lynn Bywaters is well known for her ability to catch the personality of her subjects, both in sculpture and paintings. Her work is in private art collections throughout the US. During the Reagan administration, she was commissioned by the White House to create an original piece that is now part of the permanent collection of the Smithsonian Institution. She is from Connecticut. Measuring 10.00 inches tall, the bonded porcelain sculpture is hand painted and is in mint condition in original box (which is a mess, but did it's job protecting the figurine...) with Certificate of Authenticity.
