Read description of flaw below Description How to measure for standard stoles This handcrafted clergy stole for Lent is made from authentic cotton batik print in rich shades of purple. The layers of color paint the turmoil of Christ's Passion with such strength that I felt that it only needed a small symbol of the season, while letting the fabric speak for itself. The colors do not photograph as well as they look in person--they do not glow as in the gallery photo, but they are much richer in depth and variety than they appear in other photos. This stole is custom length up to 54 inches long, measured from the back of the neck. It is fitted at the neck and tapers to the the ends, approximately 5 inches wide at the bottom. Description of flaw: the stitching around the cross in two places is not even. I did not notice this until the stole was finished and being packaged. The flaws do not show up in photographs and are not immediately obvious. The stole is marked down from the original price of $61.
