Up for bid is this Leo Smith Folk Art Santa & Mrs. Claus Figure. The is from the Our Town Collection of Department 56. Santa is 13 1/2" from the base to the top of his hat. He and Mrs. Claus are hugging. The bottom is marked with Dept. 56 and The Leo Smith Signature. This Santa was purchased from an Estate Sale recently and is is very nice condition. He could use a good cleaning. I do not have the original box. Below is some information on the artist. For the past 30 years MN natives and WI residents Leo and Marilyn Smith have carved and painted wood and cast in bronze portraits, figures, objects and wall panels depicting the people, flora and fauna of the upper Mississippi River region. Their work is beautiful and stunning, critically and publicly acclaimed and is collected by Folk Art enthusiasts worldwide. I am not an expert....I am just a simple ebayer who likes to buy on weekends and then resell on ebay. I try to give accurate pictures and descriptions I will try to work with anyone who feels I have misrepresented any item. All of my items are bought second hand so I do not have control over the enviroment they come from. If you are looking for pet free and smoke free, PLEASE DO NOT BUY FROM ME, my cats "smoke". If you are purchasing a fragile item I urge you to purchase the optional insurance. Please ask any questions before you bid. Thanks for looking!
