Here we have for auction a Leslie model 145 in excellent condition, complete with all original back panels. The Leslie has just undergone a full overhaul and service, and the amp was recently rebuilt with new orange drop capacitors. The motors run cool and quiet, the amp is astounding - loud and clear with a beautiful overdrive that kicks in with a smooth growl about three quarters of the way up the volume dial, and will take your face off if you go all the way up! This amp really does go to eleven! The drivers are all original and in fantastic condition, no raspy treble or mushy bass. The rotors have been fully cleaned and oiled and the motors have been recently serviced as well. Mechanically and electrically this Leslie is in top notch condition.The cabinet is also in fabulous condition, although there are a few light scratches to the top of the case. These could easily be touched in by a competent DIYer or furniture restorer if you really wanted to bring this to A1 living room condition.Widely regarded as one of the finest Leslie models, the 145's slightly shorter cabinet gives it a much tighter bass end than the 147, and the amp is a little brighter than the 122 - plus you don't get the switching delay associated with that model.A perfect match for any tonewheel Hammond or, with a suitable preamp, would really bring any clone read more
